The South Central Virginia Nurses Honor Guard welcomes active and retired nurses who desire to honor the lives, service, and legacy of fellow nurses.
By becoming part of our Honor Guard, you join a compassionate team dedicated to preserving the dignity, tradition, and spirit of the nursing profession through meaningful ceremonial tribute services for nurses and their families.
Together, we continue the legacy of caring, honor, and remembrance for those who devoted their lives to serving others.
Nursing Background
Active, inactive, retired, or previously licensed nurses in good standing are welcome to apply. This includes:
Registered Nurses (RN)
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Advanced Practice Nurses (APRN)
Commitment to Service
Applicants should share a desire to honor and recognize fellow nurses through ceremonial tribute and service. Members should be willing to participate in Honor Guard ceremonies and/or support the mission of the South Central Virginia Nurses Honor Guard through volunteer service, preparation, and organizational support.
Professionalism & Compassion
Honor Guard members represent the nursing profession with dignity, respect, compassion, and professionalism while serving nurses and their families during meaningful life and memorial events.

Applications are carefully reviewed by our leadership team. Applicants may be contacted for additional information or clarification if needed.
